Questions, explanations and notes are written for examination preparation. They simplify by design and may not reflect the guideline in force in your institution.

Clinical decisions remain yours, taken with the patient in front of you, your local protocols and your own judgement.

For patients using the dengue app

The app is a record, not a diagnosis. It cannot tell you whether you have dengue, and it cannot replace an assessment by a doctor.

Any warning sign it flags — bleeding, persistent vomiting, severe abdominal pain, drowsiness, cold clammy skin, no urine for eight hours — means hospital care now, not a message to us.

Emergencies

If someone is seriously unwell, go to the nearest emergency department or call local emergency services. Do not wait for a reply from CliniEd; we cannot respond to clinical emergencies.

No doctor–patient relationship

Using this site, or writing to our inbox, does not create a doctor–patient relationship. We cannot answer questions about a specific patient, including yourself.

Drugs and doses

Doses in teaching material are illustrative. Always confirm against a current formulary and the product information before prescribing.

Accuracy

Medicine changes. We review items continuously, but we cannot warrant that every page reflects the latest evidence at the moment you read it.
