The warning signs it watches for
When the fever settles between day three and day seven, the critical phase can begin. Any one of these in the app triggers a red banner telling the user to attend hospital now.
- Severe abdominal pain or tenderness
- Persistent vomiting — three or more times in an hour
- Bleeding from the gums or nose, or blood in vomit or stool
- Restlessness, drowsiness or sudden change in behaviour
- Cold, clammy hands and feet, or passing little urine
- Rapid drop in platelets with a rising haematocrit
The three phases

- Day 1–3
- Febrile High fever, aches, rash. The app logs temperature and fluid intake.
- Day 3–7
- Critical Fever falls but risk rises. Warning-sign checks run twice daily here.
- Day 7+
- Recovery Appetite returns and platelets recover. Checks taper off.
