CliniEd began as a set of case write-ups shared between postgraduate residents in Pakistan. It is now a question bank, a mock-exam engine and a plain health log for patients — written by clinicians who sat these exams themselves.

CliniEd is led by Dr. Muhammad Adil Farooq, a medical consultant and Fellow in Infectious Diseases who has spent his career on general medical wards — the same wards these questions come from.
He heads a team of medical specialists, including both FCPS and MD medicine, building this question bank chapter by chapter: each item drawn from a real presentation, written to examine reasoning rather than recall, and reviewed by a specialist in that subject before it is released.
His conviction is a simple one — candidates do not fail for want of reading, but for want of practice under exam conditions. Everything here is built to give them that, with the clinical accuracy of a consultant-reviewed bank behind every explanation.

How the bank is written
Every item starts as a real presentation, is rewritten as a single-best-answer stem, then reviewed by a second clinician before it reaches a bank.

Cases come from ward rounds and clinics, and from the points candidates report as commonly tested after a sitting.

Rewritten as a stem
One best answer, four plausible distractors, and every distractor traceable to a real error in reasoning.

Second-clinician review
A reviewer who did not write the item checks the answer, the explanation and the curriculum mapping.

Watched after release
Items that too many strong candidates get wrong are pulled and rewritten, not left in the bank.
